Receiver in the Canal Hearing Aids
A Receiver in the Canal (RIC) hearing aid is a small behind-the-ear device with a wire that carries the signal to a receiver located within the ear. The tips come in a variety of sizes to suit the individual ears. This type of hearing aid gives excellent performance, is suitable for a range of hearing losses, and has a rechargeable option available, which takes away the need to change batteries.
In-Ear Hearing Aids
In Ear hearing aids are moulded to fit each individual ear. There is nothing behind the ear and the smaller models (completely in canal) are virtually invisible once in place. These hearing aids are available using the same technology as other aids, at the same price. However there is no rechargeable option available with these devices.
